Foster your flock
Find connection. Gather strength. Build your understanding.

What, exactly, is trauma?
Trauma, as defined by the Diagnostic Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition (DSM-5), also includes this:
"Repeated exposure to adverse details of something that is stressful or traumatic."
That one might hit home (ummm, the past 2 years anyone?)!
The global pandemic we’ve been struggling with has exposed us all to various levels of prolonged stress.
So, yeah…. we’re all impacted by trauma in one way or another.

What does it mean to “foster your flock?”
When our brains are stressed, they go into fight, flight, or freeze mode. There is another option though: flock.
Flock is the idea that we can come together for support during stressful times. Dr. Alison Roy's blog is all about coming together in our times of stress for guidance and support; our flock.
Foster your flock.
