How to have a happy life: our relationships make all the difference
How do we build a happy life?
Studies show the key to having a happy life has everything to do with the quality of our relationships.

*How do I start down my path to living a happier life?

How to Foster Your Flock: Getting Started
The idea of “fostering your flock” is about focusing on human connections when we are stressed or emotionally taxed. I don’t know about you but the past two years have left me drained. I definitely needed my flock and they needed me.
So, you might be wondering, what’s the first step to flocking? Don’t worry– the answer isn’t one extra thing to put on your plate.

What, exactly, is trauma?
Trauma, as defined by the Diagnostic Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition (DSM-5), also includes this:
"Repeated exposure to adverse details of something that is stressful or traumatic."
That one might hit home (ummm, the past 2 years anyone?)!
The global pandemic we’ve been struggling with has exposed us all to various levels of prolonged stress.
So, yeah…. we’re all impacted by trauma in one way or another.

What does it mean to “foster your flock?”
When our brains are stressed, they go into fight, flight, or freeze mode. There is another option though: flock.
Flock is the idea that we can come together for support during stressful times. Dr. Alison Roy's blog is all about coming together in our times of stress for guidance and support; our flock.
Foster your flock.
